Warnings

Developed with pediatrician Dr. Carsten Lübbe
The health of the child, especially a healthy sleeping position, was always a top priority for pediatrician Dr. Carsten Lübbe. The resulting collaboration with the company Julius Zöllner laid the foundation for one of Germany's most successful baby mattresses – the Dr. Lübbe mattress.
Julius Zöllner Dr. Lübbe mattresses offer outstanding comfort, the highest material quality and safety.

Optimal strength
Avoid sinking and pressure points
Our mattresses are neither too hard nor too soft and provide optimal support for your baby's spine.

Long-term use
Dimensionally stable and safe
Point-elastic mattresses retain their shape longer because they only give way in the stressed areas and do not sink in across the entire surface.

Allergy-friendly
Baby's health
An allergy-friendly mattress reduces the risk of allergic reactions such as
sneezing, coughing or skin rashes.

Why is good sleep so important?
Baby sleep is crucial for a child's healthy development. During sleep, the brain processes new impressions and experiences, which is important for learning and memory formation. Adequate sleep also promotes growth and physical development, as growth hormones are primarily released during sleep. Good sleep also strengthens the immune system and helps regulate the baby's mood and behavior.

Frequently asked questions when buying a mattress
Important before use
Does the mattress need to air out before use?
- To ensure your baby enjoys the best sleeping conditions right away, we recommend opening the mattress 48 hours before use. While airing isn't necessary, this short waiting time allows the foam core to fully expand and provide optimal support.
- Good to know: All our mattresses are certified according to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX, which means that all materials used have been tested for harmful substances and deemed safe. Our mattresses are designed to meet the highest standards in material quality and safety, thus providing a reliable foundation for your child's peaceful and restful sleep.
Does the cover need to be washed before use?
- No, the cover does not need to be washed before first use.
- For optimal hygiene: Fitted sheets provide ideal protection. To maintain the highest hygiene standards, we recommend using fitted sheets. These not only provide effective protection against dirt but are also easy to remove and wash in the washing machine. Using fitted sheets helps keep the mattress clean and fresh, while also providing a comfortable and pleasant sleeping environment for your baby.
Which safety-relevant instructions must be observed?
- Never use more than one mattress in the cot, crib or hanging cradle.
- Care must be taken to ensure that the cot (crib and hanging cradle) is not placed near open flames or strong heat sources, e.g. electric heaters, gas stoves, etc.
- The mattress must no longer be used if any parts are broken, torn, damaged or missing.
- Plastic packaging must always be kept out of reach of children or disposed of as recycling.
How do you keep your mattress fresh and hygienic?
What do I need to consider when cleaning the cover?
- Our mattress covers can be machine washed at up to 60°C.
- We recommend using special detergents for babies without fragrances. Avoid using fabric softeners.
- The mattress cover can be dried in the tumble dryer or gently on the clothesline.
- The cover should not be put back on until it is completely dry.
- The cover must not be dry cleaned or ironed.
How do I clean the mattress core?
- If necessary, you can simply dab the mattress core with a damp cloth. Be careful not to damage the inner lining and prevent the mattress from absorbing moisture. This easy cleaning process keeps the mattress core fresh and ready for your baby's restful sleep.
- Before replacing the cover, allow the foam core to dry thoroughly after cleaning. This will maintain the ideal sleeping environment for your baby and ensure a long lifespan for the mattress.
How can I protect my mattress?
- We recommend using fitted sheets. These simply slide over the mattress and are machine washable.
- Waterproof pads can also be used to reliably protect the mattress from moisture. This extra layer of protection is especially recommended when weaning off diapers.
