B.    Data processing

We process data as part of operating our website. The data processing also includes disclosure through transmission.

Data transmissions into the United States are subject to an adequacy decision by the EU Commission, namely the EU-US Privacy Shield.  In this decision, the Commission has certified that the guarantees for the transmission of data into the United States based on the EU-US Privacy Shield comply with the data security standards in the EU. Insofar as we transmit data into the United States, we have identified the participation of our service providers in the EU-US Privacy Shield.

The following lists the individual affected data, processing purposes, legal bases, recipients and transmissions into non-member countries:

a)    Log file

We log your visits to our websites. This involves the processing of the following data: Name of each accessed web page, date and time of access, volume of transferred data, browser type and version, your operating system, the referrer URL (the previously visited page), your IP address and the requesting provider. This is required to guarantee the security of the website. On the basis of our legitimate interests, we process the data in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The log file is deleted after seven days unless it is needed for the clarification or detection of specific legal violations that became known during the retention period.

b)    Hosting

All data to be processed in connection with the operation of this website are stored in the scope of the hosting. This is required to facilitate website operation. On the basis of our legitimate interests, we process the data in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. To enable our online presence, we use the services of web hosting providers to whom we transmit the above-mentioned data.

c)    Initiation of contact

If you contact us, your data (name, contact information, insofar as you provide it to us) and your message are processed exclusively for the purposes of executing and processing your query. We process these data on the basis of Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR or Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR for the processing of your query. If you want to contact us by e-mail or via other web-based forms, we would like to inform you that we cannot guarantee confidentiality in the transmission of any information contained therein. In general, the content of e-mails or forms may be exposed to surveillance attacks by unauthorised third parties during their transmission. For this reason, we recommend that confidential information should only be sent to us by post.

d)    Customer account

When you open a customer account, you agree that your inventory data (name, address, e-mail address, bank information) and your user data (user name, password) are stored. We use this to identify you as a customer and it gives you the option of managing your orders. On the basis of your consent, your data are processed in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

e)    Purchase transaction

We process your order data to execute the purchase agreement. The processing of these data is based on Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
We transmit your address data to the assigned delivery company. Insofar as this is required to execute the agreement, we also transmit your e-mail address or phone number to the assigned delivery company to coordinate a delivery date (Avis).
We transmit your transaction data (name, order date, type of payment, shipping and/or receipt date, amount and payment recipient, and – if applicable – bank information or credit card data) to the payment service provider assigned for the payment transaction.

Some of the cookies (session cookies) used by us are deleted immediately at the end of your browser session. Other cookies remain on your device and allow us to identify you on your next visit (persistent cookies).

You can delete all of the cookies stored on your device and set standard browsers to prevent the storage of cookies.

In this case, you might need to reapply some settings every time you use this website and accept that some of the functions might be adversely affected.
